Growing up in his native Amritsar brought him closer to both nature and art leading to his emergence as a landscape artist. His brush, coated with thick pigment charts a course on the canvas that gives the viewer a panoramic vision of mystic landscapes and does not rest until it has filled the entire surface. The dappled areas of the sky, water, forests and fields have a tactile feel though Paramjit’s paintings go well beyond what is portrayed at a tangible level. His woks represent glorious and imaginative possibilities of a life beyond an urban harshness.
